Still from interview with Gabriel Kuri

I think meaning should endure and many time meaning is locked in the material. This is really not a question that I am olblivous of. I am trying to foresee how this will age. If this material starts to get rusty, will my idea fade. - Gabriel Kuri.
An interview with Gabriel Kuri is the most recent addition to the Getty Conservation Institute's Artist Dialogue video series which explores the work—and the conservation of that work—of selected artists. The series is part of Art In L.A., a Getty Conservation Institute project looking at the materials, processes, and conservation of the work of Los Angeles-based artists. For more information on this project see the project website. Also, interviews videos with John Baldessari and Laura Owens are currently in production.
Kuri talks about his working methods & materials, and gives his thoughts on his role in the conservation of his work.
