Changes to the INCCA Steering Committee

In the past few months we have seen some changes to the INCCA Steering Committee.

Babara Sommermeyer stepped down

After many years of volunteering on the committee Barbara Sommermeyer (conservator at the Kunsthalle in Hamburg) has decided to step down. Many thanks to Barbara for her wonderful contribution to the Steering Committee over the years. In particular her help in making improvements to the current INCCA website as well as her input into the user-friendly design of the new website that will be built in the near future.

New committee members

In September 2020 Josephine Bobeck and Lily Bennion started a two year temporary position as the first early career committee members. Initially the position was intended for one person for one year, but we were so pleased with these enthusiastic volunteers that we invited both to join the committee and to stay on a little longer.

In March 2021 we welcomed another two members to the committee. Davison Chiwara is a lecturer in the Department of Archaeology, Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies at Midlands State University in Zimbabwe. Tanushree Gupta works at the Institute of Conservation, University of Applied Arts in Vienna and focuses on collection care practices and research.

We are very pleased to have found a lovely group of volunteers for the Steering Committee to take INCCA forward the coming years.
