Abstract

Summarizing my PhD research, I would say that I am interested in analyzing the aesthetic

component within temporary artworks. By analyzing what it is that we find attractive and

appealing within temporary art, that is to say, artworks which are intentionally destroyed or

intentionally disintegrate after their intended "use", I believe certain important conclusions can be

drawn regarding how to best collect and conserve artworks which intentionally disappear.
