Conserving and Caring for Contemporary Works of Art

The ICOM-CC Working groups for 'Education & Training' and 'Modern Materials and Contemporary Art' will be holding a joint Interim Meeting in Maastricht in order to consider how best to develop the knowledge and skills required to conserve and care for contemporary works, right after the Contemporary Art: Who Cares? symposium June 9-11 that will also address this topic. In preparation for this meeting a debate is started through the 'Education & Training WG Forum' on the ICOM CC website http://www.icom-cc.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=77. Anyone who has conserved and cared for contemporary works of art is asked to share their experiences with regard to the type of training and education that they think would best support their work.
